It looks adorably uncomfortable watch - Jermaine is so great.
Looks like Napoleon Dynamite but, well, with a plot.
Anyone know what the song that starts halfway through is? "one, gimme one, gimme one, gimme two, gimme five..."
The one at the end is This is the One by the Stone Roses, who seem pretty cool (late 80s, britpop).

The reviews are in. Ouch.
The best bad reviews are usually short. The Toronto Star was, I think, the harshest, saying the film "sorely lacks a genuine sense of humanity." Wow. I can see how that might be, though. The characters need only reach a tad over the cringe line and act a little too stupid (past the point of simple social problems) - then they become victims of the film. And then the audience resents the director/film/themselves for using the characters for laughs.
There's also the Dynamite comparisons, which I expected. For instance, there's this review: "The movie is so self-consciously odd and twee it's hard to connect with the sad-sack characters. Waititi borrowed the formula for Dynamite but created a damp firecracker."
